Distributing

In the time that I was away from this blog, I not only went bleached blonde but I also became a distributor for Young Living Essential Oils. Every mom needs an MLM these days right? While I wasn’t actively seeking a “business opportunity”, I was looking for another tool to add to my mom box. You know the box, it’s the one that holds all of your trusted remedies and bandages. It’s your go-to for boo boos, stuffy noses and to cure all things our kids do to themselves. With three boys, my tool box has grown and adapted over the years.

Before becoming a mother I lived differently. I considered eating at home the pinnacle of health even though the majority of what I was eating was coming from prepackaged boxes, bags and cans. Once my first child was born with some very real struggles I began looking into alternatives. One of those new to me things was essential oils.

I had been using them here and there over the last seven years when I inquired with a friend about the particular ones she was using (Young Living) and why she loved them. I was looking for some help, specifically for our battle with food allergies and intolerances. I could only get so far before the cycle repeated with the next exposure and with my oldest being sensitive to things like activated charcoal and almost all probiotics, I needed something else.

I took the plunge and ordered my Premium Starter Kit. The diffuser was my main motivation with the selection of 11 different oils being a bonus. I had put the oils into the humidifier but had never had a machine specifically designed to properly distribute the essential oil molecules into the air. I added a few additional oils for our specific needs and waited in anticipation.

One month into using our essential oils daily and I was sold and hooked. These were the best oils I had come into contact with and the love was immediate. So much so that I chose to become a distributor myself. I ultimately began giving lectures on what essential oils are and how to use them and my use of Young Living products grew and grew.

I currently use their Thieves line for oral care and home cleaning. Our whole family drinks their essential oil infused antioxidant Ningixa Red daily and my husband and I even love their suppliments just to name a few.

As I write this I am on day 4 of their 5 Day Nutritive Cleanse. Having been pregnant or nursing since 2008 a cleanse, although needed, was off the table. Any medical professional you come across will strongly advise you against any kind of detox protocol during these times for fear of doing harm to your child. So I jumped on this opportunity to take five days for me to clear and reset my internal systems. Based on the trust I’ve developed in YL’s products and the company and the gentle appearance of this cleanse, I went for it. My next post will be about my experiences over these five days and I hope to see you there!
